The cities

Ten Albanian cities, 211 places with audio stories

Roots Albania has audio stories about 211 places in ten Albanian cities, in 28 languages, and needs no account. The number after each city is how many of its places have audio stories; each city page lists every place.

Every place has two stories, a short introduction and a story of about six minutes, with a male and a female voice. Download a city's audio, then it plays without a connection. The stories are written by local people.

What is on each city page?

Each city page lists every place of that city in the order the app shows them, with the English and the Albanian name, and further down every place again with its coordinates, its type and period and, where the app's catalogue has one, a one line description. The lists are taken from the app's catalogue on 15 September 2026.
